My daughter (who is 3 and 3/4 years old) has already been in time out today…… before 7am! Her offense….. Spatting! Ugh…. We are trying very hard to break this NASTY habit! I tried to kiss her and she “spat” in my face… now, I’m reasonable… if she didn’t want to be bothered then use words not spit! 
We do 1 minute for per how old she is… so she gets 3 minutes. While in time out she spat again… for every additional “spat” she gets another minute… so she was in time out this morning for 4 minutes. That extra minute is a really long time for her…. She decided that she’d try to imitate the timer…. (microwave timer) Beeeeeeeeeeeeep! Beeeeeeeeeep! Like I wouldn’t notice. HA!
Oh… how I LOVE and adore the strong will of this little girl… I’m prayerful that channeled correctly… she will do great things in life!
What are your little one’s offenses lately and how do you reprimand and teach them?

My son is also guilt of the ‘spatting’. However, his worse issue is hitting the puppy & yelling at his little sister. We are about to move to a new home which actually has a big yard. I know that it will not ‘cure’ all of his bad habits but being cooped up in this house has got to be bad for him {he’s 3}… I know it drives me crazy often.
