Having a 3 year old daughter we FLY through some liquid hand soap. Toilet paper too… (if only I could figure out how to make that..ha!) This morning I decided to give it a go…..
I shredded a bar of Yardley’s English Lavender soap (not a brand I typically buy but I must have gotten it close to nothing with a coupon or a register reward at Walgreen’s. Put 4 cups into a pot and let it boil….
Stir… stir… stir… let it cool and it was solid. So I added one more cup of water and brought it back to a boil…. let it cool.. still cooled to a solid… added another cup of water brought it to a boil… set it aside to cool yet again…..
So… how did it turn out you ask??? I have no idea because when my husband did the dishes he poured all my soap down the drain and washed the pot. LOL!!! I was a little annoyed but seriously… my gratitude far out weighs any annoyance… I am so thankful that he cheerfully volunteers to help out around the house. So… maybe I will try it again tomorrow with a bar of Dove.
